Small business marketing & automation

Marketing that shows up as revenue, not a report.

We build the systems that get local businesses found, grow a list you actually own, and turn quiet leads into booked work — then show you what each one earned.

Why this page is blunt

You've probably paid for marketing before and couldn't tell what it did.

Most owners we talk to aren't marketing skeptics. They're agency skeptics, and for good reason. Here's what we hear on almost every first call, and what we do instead.

They sent a twelve-page report every month and I still couldn't tell you if it made me a dollar.

Instead: One page, three numbers — leads, booked jobs, revenue. Traffic charts live underneath, for anyone who wants them.

I paid for brand awareness for eight months and the phone rang the same as before.

Instead: We start at the bottom of the funnel where the money already is, and only spend on awareness once conversion is fixed.

They rebuilt my site and I lost rankings I'd had for years.

Instead: Nothing ships without a rollback plan and a before/after ranking snapshot. Migrations are the most common way this goes wrong.

I never knew who was actually doing the work, or where.

Instead: One named strategist, on every call, for the life of the engagement. No rotating pod, no silent handoff.

Everything they wrote sounded like a robot wrote it. Because it did.

Instead: AI drafts, a human edits, you approve. Nothing goes public with your name on it that you haven't read.

When I left, they kept the ad account and the email list.

Instead: Every account is created in your name from day one. If you leave, you take all of it, plus a handoff doc.

The system

Three stages. Each one measured on its own terms.

Most marketing fails because one stage gets all the attention. Traffic with no capture is a leak. A list with no follow-up is a spreadsheet. We work all three, in order, and fix the cheapest problem first.

ViewsStage 1

Get found by people already looking

Demand that already exists is cheaper than demand you have to create. We take that first.

  • Google Business Profile rebuilt and posted to weekly
  • Local search and map-pack ranking
  • Review volume and velocity — the largest local ranking lever
  • Short-form video repurposed across channels
  • Paid search on high-intent terms only
Measured onCalls, direction requests, form fills, cost per click
SubscribersStage 2

Build an audience you own

Followers are rented. An algorithm change can erase them overnight. Email and phone numbers are yours permanently.

  • Offers worth an email address, specific to your trade
  • Landing pages built to convert, not to look busy
  • Email and SMS capture at every real touchpoint
  • List hygiene so you stay out of spam folders
  • Segments by service, value, and last contact
Measured onNet new contacts, cost per contact, list growth rate
CustomersStage 3

Turn quiet leads into booked work

This is where nearly every small business leaks money, and it's the cheapest thing on this page to fix.

  • Automated follow-up that runs whether you remember or not
  • Speed-to-lead under 60 seconds, every time
  • Quote and estimate chase sequences
  • Reactivation of customers who quietly stopped
  • Revenue attribution back to the source
Measured onBooked jobs, close rate, revenue per contact
Automation streams

The follow-up you'd do if you had the time.

Every stream below is a trigger and an action. They run in the background, at all hours, without anyone remembering to. Most clients start with three.

STR-01

Missed-call text-back

on unanswered call
→ SMS within 30 seconds

The customer who got your voicemail at 2:00 is calling a competitor at 2:04. This is the highest-return automation for any business that takes calls.

STR-02

Speed to lead

on form submitted
→ text + email < 60s

→ alert to your phone

Response time is the single strongest predictor of whether a web lead closes. Minutes matter far more than hours.

STR-03

Review engine

on job marked complete
→ review request + 1 reminder

Review count and recency drive map-pack rankings. Asking manually means asking inconsistently, which means asking rarely.

STR-04

Quote follow-up

on quote sent, no reply 48h
→ 4 touches over 10 days

Most quotes are never followed up even once. The work is already priced and scoped — this is the cheapest revenue on the list.

STR-05

Welcome sequence

on new subscriber
→ 5 emails / 14 days

A new contact is warmest the day they subscribe. This sequence does the trust-building while their interest is still high.

STR-06

Dormant customer win-back

on no activity 180 days
→ re-engagement offer

Selling to someone who already bought from you costs a fraction of finding someone new. Most owners never work this list at all.

STR-07

Appointment reminders

on booking confirmed
→ reminders at 24h + 2h

No-shows are pure lost margin — the slot is gone and the cost is already spent. Two reminders remove most of them.

STR-08

Abandoned booking recovery

on booking started, not finished
→ recovery email + SMS

They wanted the appointment enough to start. Usually something interrupted them, and a nudge is all it takes.

STR-09

Referral ask

on 5-star review left
→ referral offer, 7 days later

The best moment to ask for a referral is right after someone has publicly said you did well. That window closes fast.

How we operate

The terms, before you ask for them.

You own everything

Ad accounts, domain, email list, phone numbers, automations — all created in your name. We get access, not ownership.

90 days, then month to month

Ninety days is the honest minimum for a system to prove itself. After that, stay because it's working, not because of a contract.

Reporting in dollars

Leads, booked jobs, revenue, cost per acquisition. Impressions and reach are available, but they're not the scoreboard.

Roughly 45 minutes of your month

One monthly review call, plus approvals. If we need more of your time than that, we've designed the engagement wrong.

Replies within one business day

Not a portal, not a ticket queue. A phone number and an email that a person answers.

Nothing publishes unseen

Anything carrying your name is drafted, edited by a human, and approved by you before it goes anywhere public.

Pricing

Published, because you shouldn't have to sit through a call to learn the price.

Every plan includes the reporting, the named strategist, and the ownership terms above. Ad spend is separate and goes to the platform, never to us.

Results

Proof goes here — and it has to be real.

Placeholder — replace before launch

This is the highest-converting section on the page, and the only one that can't be written for you.

Everything above is a claim. This is where a stranger decides whether to believe it. Three client results with real numbers will outperform every other section on this page combined — and invented testimonials are both illegal in most jurisdictions and obvious to the people you're trying to win.

  • Business type and rough size — “18-truck HVAC company, two locations”
  • The before number, the after number, the timeframe — “call volume 40/mo → 132/mo in five months”
  • A direct quote naming something specific you did, with permission to use their name
Questions

The things owners actually ask on the first call.

How fast will I see results?

It depends entirely on which stage we start with, and anyone giving you one number for all of it is guessing. Automation streams produce measurable change in two to three weeks — the follow-up either happens or it doesn't. Paid search can produce leads within days. Local SEO and review velocity take three to six months to move meaningfully, because Google is slow and there's no honest way around that.

We sequence deliberately: fastest-return work first, so something is working before the slow work matures.

What if it doesn't work?

After the initial 90 days you're month to month, and you keep every asset we built — the automations, the list, the landing pages, the accounts. There's no exit fee and no clause that makes leaving expensive. If we're not earning the retainer, we'd rather you go than churn out angry.

Do I own my accounts and my list?

Yes, without exception. Every ad account, domain, phone number, and email platform is created under your ownership on day one, and we're added as a user. This is worth confirming with any agency you talk to, because the alternative is common and it's how people get held hostage at renewal.

I don't have time for this. What do you actually need from me?

About 45 minutes a month once we're running. A 60-minute onboarding call at the start, then a monthly review, plus approvals on anything public that carries your name. We'll ask for photos and job details when we need them, but we chase those — you don't have to remember.

Who is doing the work? Is it being sent offshore?

One named strategist owns your account and is on every call. Production support exists, but the person who knows your business doesn't change, and you always know who wrote what. If your point of contact ever changes, you'll hear it from us first.

Is this just AI-generated content?

AI drafts. A human edits, fact-checks, and puts it in your voice. You approve before anything publishes. We use the tools because they make the work faster and cheaper for you — but unedited AI output reads exactly like unedited AI output, and your customers can tell.

My business is different — will generic marketing even work?

The system is the same; the inputs are not. A med spa and a plumbing company both need to be found, build a list, and follow up — but the offers, the timing, the channel mix, and the language are entirely different. Onboarding is largely about learning your specific jobs, margins, and seasonality before anything is built.

Will you change my website? I don't want to lose my rankings.

Not without a rollback plan and a before/after ranking snapshot. Botched migrations are one of the most common ways businesses lose organic traffic, and recovering it takes far longer than losing it did. Where possible we add landing pages alongside your existing site rather than touching what already ranks.

What's the real total cost, including everything?

Retainer plus one-time setup, plus ad spend if you run ads. Ad spend goes directly to Google or Meta and is billed to your card — we don't mark it up or take a percentage of it, because that structure rewards us for spending more of your money. Software costs are included in the retainer.

What happens if I want to leave?

Thirty days' notice after the initial term. You get a written handoff document covering every system, credential, and automation, plus a call to walk your next person through it. Everything is already in your name, so there's nothing to transfer back.

Next step

Twenty minutes. No deck, no pitch.

We look at your Google profile, your last 90 days of leads, and where they're leaking. You leave with the three things to fix — whether you hire us or not.

What we cover
  • Where your leads come from today, and which ones you're losing
  • How fast you currently respond — measured, not estimated
  • Your review position against the three competitors ranking above you
  • The single highest-return fix, and roughly what it's worth
